Foam Party FAQ: Safety, Setup & Planning

Frequently asked questions

What’s a foam party like?

Picture your yard, field or parking lot filling with a mountain of fluffy foam while upbeat music plays. Our trained operator sets up and runs the foam cannon for the whole party and guides guests in and out of the foam so everyone gets a turn. Kids (and plenty of adults) jump, dance and play in it, and it’s the part of the party everyone talks about afterward. Booking after dark? Glow Foam Night adds blacklighting so the foam glows.

Is the foam safe for adults, kids, pets and extraterrestrials?

Yes ☺ Our foam is hypo-allergenic, non-toxic, dye-free, non-staining, biodegradable and gluten-free! It's safe for babies, kids, teenagers, adults, grandma, dogs, cats, grass, plants, aliens and even safe for the environment! It is as gentle as baby shampoo.

Is it slippery?

Surprisingly, the Foam does not make the ground very slippery at all. It’s mostly dense bubbles with minimal water and Foam solution added, so it does not leave a film on the ground like you might think. Surfaces can make a bit of a difference of course. Concrete, asphalt and rubber are best, while grass lawns can get just a little more slick.
We don’t recommend dirt surfaces because they get muddy. And we CANNOT create a foam zone on a high-gloss surface, like marble tile or recently glazed area.

Will it hurt my grass?

The foam itself will not harm your grass, but the feet running around may cause some wear. No more than any other activity you might have on your lawn. If you have brand new grass that has not taken root, we recommend moving the foam to a different area or if your yard is susceptible to mud.

Who’s gonna clean up all this foam?

Foam naturally dissipates, but every property and surface is different. We review drainage and surface conditions and provide cleanup guidance for the event site.

Will the foam get guests wet?

Running through foam may leave you damp and you can easily dry off in the sun.
Playing in the foam pile for longer will get you wet, but not as wet as a slip n slide or pool.
Depending on how much you play in the foam, you may want to bring your favorite towel and perhaps a change of clothes!

What should guests wear?

Swimsuits or lightweight clothing that can get wet work best. Towels, dry clothes, and secure footwear are recommended.

How long is a party?

One hosted hour packed with foam, music, movement, and unforgettable reactions. Two hosted hours for celebrations that deserve more time in the foam. Large events, multiple cannons, travel, and custom production are quoted separately.

Where should I have my foam party?

Outdoors on a clear, open, flat area is best. A clear area of at least 20 by 20 feet is a practical starting point. Larger groups and multiple cannons require additional room. A suitable grass, pavement, turf, or comparable surface reviewed during planning.

How long is the set-up?

We arrive, build the foam zone, and pack it all down. We review space, surface, water, power, access, travel, and package details.

What do you need from me?

A hose-connectable outdoor water source within 100 feet of the setup area. A grounded electrical source within 100 feet, or a generator plan confirmed in advance. At least a 20-by-20-foot open area with appropriate access and drainage. A suitable grass, pavement, turf, or comparable surface reviewed during planning.

What does your company provide?

Equipment delivery. Foam-cannon setup. Professional operation. Foam solution. Music and sound. Guest-flow guidance. Equipment teardown. Cleanup guidance. Glow Foam includes the blacklighting listed in its package.

What if it rains?

Light rain usually does not stop a hosted foam party, although it can reduce foam output and accumulation. If heavy rain, thunder/lightning or strong wind is expected, let us know by 8 AM on party day and we’ll move your booking to any open date within 12 months at no charge; your deposit carries over. For heavy rain, our staff checks conditions with you and works through the safest available plan. If thunder is heard or lightning is seen, outdoor activity stops immediately and everyone must move to a substantial enclosed building or enclosed hard-topped vehicle. Activity may resume no sooner than 30 minutes after the last thunder or lightning and only with staff approval. Once our crew is onsite and setup is complete, a weather interruption does not create an automatic reschedule. When scheduling permits, staff may stay later, but replacement time is not guaranteed. High-wind decisions are made by onsite staff in conversation with the client.

What is included with a foam machine rental?

A foam machine rental puts you in control of the equipment and timing. Your quote will explain the machine, foam solution, rental period, pickup or delivery details, and operating instructions.

What is included with a bubble machine rental?

Your quote will clearly spell out the equipment, bubble solution, rental period, pickup or delivery plan, and any extras—so you know exactly what to expect before event day.

What is the weather policy for bubble parties?

Bubbles need dry weather. If rain, thunder/lightning or strong wind is expected, let us know by 8 AM on your pickup (or party) day and we'll move your booking to any open date within 12 months at no charge. Your deposit carries over to the new date; it isn't refunded for weather.

What to wear

Wear lightweight, comfortable, quick-drying swimwear or activewear. Dark colors can help prevent transparency when wet. Avoid heavy or delicate fabrics such as denim, suede, leather, wool and silk. Choose secure, non-slip water shoes or sneakers rather than flip-flops. Bring goggles, a towel, dry clothes, sunscreen for outdoor events, and a waterproof pouch for valuables. Rinse your outfit afterward to remove leftover foam.
